A few days ago I was talking with one of my colleagues about the current state of the Healthcare Reform legislation in Congress. The President had signed the bill into law the day before and we were speculating about what the next phase might be. She asked a rhetorical question, “I wonder how many of the people who are against the legislation are among those with no health insurance.” An interesting question. We know everyone in Congress has health insurance. Quite good health insurance at that, I might add. I can’t recall seeing any demonstrators with signs that said, “Uninsured Against Healthcare Reform.” How many of those who object strenously to this legislation don’t have health insurance now? What do you think?
